Effective Date: May 16, 2025

When you use Litgo, you trust us with your personal career information. We are committed to keeping that trust. That starts with helping you understand our privacy practices.

This Privacy Policy describes how Litgo ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). We want you to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information.

1. Information We Collect

We want you to understand the types of information we collect as you use our services.

1.1 Things you create or provide to us

When you create a Litgo account, you provide us with personal information that includes your email address and a password. You may also choose to provide us with your name.

When you use our analysis services, we collect the content you create, upload, or receive from others. This includes your original resume documents (including uploaded PDF or DOCX files), the job descriptions you submit for analysis, the AI-generated optimized resumes we produce for you, and any feedback or ratings you choose to submit about our services.

  • Your apps, browsers & devices: We collect information about the apps, browsers, and devices you use to access our Services, such as IP address, crash reports, and system activity.
  • Your activity: We collect information about your activity in our services, which we use to do things like improve the AI algorithms and suggest better resume formats.
  • Payment Information: If you purchase a subscription or a one-time analysis, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your billing information. We do not view or store your full credit card number.

2. Why We Collect Data

We use the information we collect from all our services for the following purposes:

  • Provide our services: We use your information to deliver our services, like processing your resume against a job description using AI to return an ATS match score.
  • Maintain & improve our services: We use your information to ensure our services are working as intended, such as tracking outages or troubleshooting issues that you report to us.
  • Develop new services: We use the information we collect in existing services to help us develop new ones.
  • Provide personalized services: We use the information we collect to customize our services for you, including providing recommendations.
  • Communicate with you: We use information we collect, like your email address, to interact with you directly. For example, we may send you an email if we detect suspicious activity, or to let you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
  • Protect Litgo, our users, and the public: We use information to help improve the safety and reliability of our services. This includes detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Litgo except in the following cases:

3.1 For external processing

We provide personal information to our affiliates and other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. Specifically, we share data with:

  • Google Gemini: To process the text of your resume and job descriptions through secure API channels to generate analysis reports and AI rewrites. On the paid API tier, your content is not used to improve Google's products.
  • Supabase: To securely authenticate your account, host our encrypted databases, and store uploaded resume files.
  • Stripe: To securely process your payments and subscriptions.
  • Resend: To send transactional emails such as welcome messages, receipts, and account-related notices.

3.2 For legal reasons

We will share personal information outside of Litgo if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

4. Keeping Your Information Secure

We build security into our services to protect your information. All Litgo products are built with strong security features that continuously protect your information. We restrict access to personal information to Litgo employees, contractors, and agents who need that information in order to process it. Anyone with this access is subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations.

All database records involving your personal documents are protected by Row-Level Security (RLS), meaning they are cryptographically restricted so that only your authenticated user account can access them.

5. Exporting & Deleting Your Information

You can download your optimized resumes as PDF or DOCX from your dashboard at any time. If you need a copy of other account data, contact us at privacy@getlitgo.com.

To delete your account and associated resume data, go to Account Settings and use Request deletion, or email support@getlitgo.com. We will confirm and complete removal of your data from our active systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.

6. Compliance & Cooperation with Regulators

We regularly review this Privacy Policy and make sure that we process your information in ways that comply with it. Data protection laws vary among countries, with some providing more protection than others. Regardless of where your information is processed, we apply the same protections described in this policy.

When we receive formal written complaints, we respond by contacting the person who made the complaint. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of your data that we cannot resolve with you directly.
